  • promote understanding of the organised and productive society of the honeybee;

About the authors Dominique Marchand and Jenny Marchand-Mayne

French-born Dominique Marchand and his wife, Jenny Marchand-Mayne, have farmed bees in South Africa for twenty-five years. They also run a business, the Honeybee Foundation and Products, in Cape Town. HF&P manufactures beekeeping equipment, provides pollination and swarm removal services and sells hive products such as raw honey, health products, confectionary and apicosmetics. In addition the HF&P offers educational initiatives including a creative education centre for young and adult learners (both for hobbyists and training for rural development).
