Temel Petek was founded in 1973 and is one of the leading companies that bring modern techniques to the beekeeping sector in Turkey. Temel Petek has wide domestic sales and marketing and it is expanding worldwide exports. It produce very important portion of the beeswax comb foundation in Turkey and has the biggest market share in the beeswax business. In addition to that Temel Petek supplies the local market as well as exports a good number of beekeeping protective clothing and beekeeping equipment such as; extractors, smokers, honey tanks, queen excluders and all other beekeeping materials.

Temel Petek contributes to beekeepers and the beekeeping sector in Turkey by carrying out joint scientific studies with veterinarian faculties and universities, publishing books and booklets to introduce new technologies, and working with multilateral agencies and donors.
